Antares

As the ruby heart of Scorpius, Antares is the 16th brightest star in our sky and also on e of the most gigantic stars known. Even though this star is pretty in its reddish color and therefore cooler in temperature, it surface area, from which light can escape makes the star extremely bright. Antares is Greek for "like Mars" or "rivaling Mars", and is sometimes even said to be the "Anti-Mars". It is in a humorous rivalry with Mars because of their relative colors.
